What is a catastrophic injury?
Catastrophic injuries ordinarily involve one or more of the following:
- Amputations;
- Severe paralysis;
- Severe head injuries;
- Severe burns;
- Blindness; and
- Other severe injuries that prevent an injured worker from performing his or her prior work and from performing any other.
